TOYBOX SOUNDTRACK RELEASED

After a long wait, we're very excited to announce the release of The Toybox: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

A very limited budget (we're talking £50!) forced composer Miguel d'Oliveira to create innovative soundscapes without resorting to a MIDI and sample based approach.

As a result, the recordings were accomplished by using violin player Craig Stuart, flutist Gareth Lockrane, clarinettist Chris White plus Miguel playing an array of 14 different live instruments.

All this was thought to have been permanently lost during the final stages of the post-production of Toybox until two months ago when the computer containing the score was recovered intact.

We're proud to announce that the soundtrack has been reassembled, mastered and is now available through Film Music Downloads.

TOYBOX DVD

The Toybox DVD is now available to buy in the UK, Germany and the USA.

The DVD also contains a director's commentary featuring Paolo Sedazzari and other cast and crew members which gives a great insight into the nuances of the film.

WARNER BROS. VOD & PPV

Warner Bros. has picked up Toybox for their Video On Demand and Pay Per View services in the US which has a reach into millions of homes throughout the country. More details to follow.

TOYBOX UK DVD RELEASE DATE - PRE-ORDER NOW!

We are very excited to announce that The Toybox will be out on DVD in the UK from November 13th, 2006 through distributor Supersonic Films. It will be available to buy in the shops and can already be pre-ordered online at Amazon.co.uk.

THE TOYBOX - 'BEST INDEPENDENT FEATURE'

The Toybox won Best Independent Feature at The Festival of Fantastic Films in Manchester earlier this month. This is a well-established event for horror and sci-fi aficionados and we are in great company - our good friend and associate Robert Pratten won the same award last year with his excellent and atmospheric London Voodoo.

TOYBOX PLAYS THE REX

Toybox will be playing The Rex Cinema in Berkhamsted on Sunday, November 20th @ 6 PM.

If you haven't had a chance to see the film yet, then there's no better place to watch it than at one of Britain's most beautiful cinemas. A Q&A session with members of the cast, the producer and the director will take place after the show - definitely not to be missed!

Suzanne Bertish has won the Best Actress award at the Hertfordshire International Film Festival for her performance in Toybox.
 

HIFF SCREENING & NOMINATIONS

The Toybox is nominated for several awards at the Hertfordshire International Film Festival being held on October 22nd and 23rd, 2005.

Tickets are available for a screening of the film on Sunday, October 23rd @ noon (12 PM) at the Campus West Theatre in Welwyn Garden City.

The Toybox has been nominated for Best Foreign Film at The San Fernando Valley International Film Festival.

A screening of The Toybox will take place on Saturday, April 16th @ 7:30 PM at the Beverly Garland Theater in North Hollywood. Admission to the screening is free, so please stop by if you're in the area.
